For their 2017-18 season, Jesse Cloninger and the Emerald City Jazz Kings present another great year of historic jazz and popular music. They start things off with KEEP YOUR SUNNY SIDE UP, a celebration of the wonderful songs of DeSylva, Brown and Henderson (October/November), begin the new year with A POCKETFUL OF DREAMS, which celebrates the career of Bing Crosby (January/February), and closes in the spring with YOU ASKED FOR IT!, a program of The Jazz Kings very best, which we'll design with you, our patrons (May).
And, as always, we will bring you another heartwarming Jazz Kings' Christmas show, AN OLD-FASHIONED CHRISTMAS, with Shirley Andress returning as artistic director.

The Emerald City Jazz Kings is the resident jazz & classic American Songbook ensemble of The John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts. Under the baton of music director Jesse Cloninger, the Jazz Kings produce 4 original concerts each year on various themes pertinent to the historic popular music and jazz of the 1920s through ‘50s, with performances in Eugene, Florence and Corvallis.
