Amy Adams’ musical roots go deep into Eugene’s performing arts community: the Berwick Chorus of the Oregon Bach Festival; Eugene Symphony Chorus (for whom she also serves as chorus manager); Eugene Opera; Oregon Festival of American Music; Oregon Festival Choirs; St. Paul Center UMC and numerous area churches. A graduate of the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance, Amy has been an area music educator for over twenty years, teaching bands, choirs and numerous elementary classes, and teaches music at Far Horizons Montessori. Energized by arts promotion, Amy actively supports arts organizations such as Cascadia Concert Opera, OrchestraNext, Eugene-Springfield Youth Orchestras. A freelance accompanist and self-described “utility singer,” Amy is at home covering her favorite jazz and pop tunes, accompanying community choruses, singing Mozart, or preparing children’s choirs.
