Stephen Stone is a retired associate professor at the University of Oregon School of Music.
He has taught extensively in the fields of jazz history and popular music for the past 20 years,
and has served as lecturer-presenter for Oregon Festival of American Music on such diverse subjects as Fletcher Henderson, Stephen Foster, and Broadway revue in the 1920s. He has produced "Jazz Songbook" a weekly program for public radio. He is also a professional jazz trombonist who performs regularly with the Starliters Big Band.
