The Shedd Singing Club was created for busy adults who always wanted to sing; used to sing and miss it; sing in the car, in the shower, etc.; think they can’t sing very well; and want to learn more about singing, harmony, reading music!
Each week, instructor Amy Adams guides participants through a convivial, user-friendly session of vocalizing and exploration of song: spirituals, folk songs, rounds, popular tunes and classical music, anything goes! Singers learn to understand their own voices, navigate the mysteries of harmony and notation, and remove obstacles from the simple joy of singing.
You don’t need to be able to read music. There’s no audition. No previous choral experience is necessary. There are no required public performances.
