The Shedd Institute’s E. Y. Harburg Academy for Musical Theatre presents its 13th semi-annual revue, GET HAPPY, a tribute to legendary singer and actress Judy Garland (1922-69). Our show will feature many of Garland's most beloved songs, from (of course) Yip Harburg and Harold Arlen's "Over The Rainbow", which she introduced in 1939's The Wizard of Oz, to Ira Gershwin and Harold Arlen's 1954 torch song "The Man That Got Away" which she introduced stunningly in the 1954 remake of A Star Is Born, and many songs in between: "Get Happy", "A Couple Of Swells", "Easter Parade", "The Trolley Song", "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", "You Made Me Love You", "Could You Use Me?", "On The Atchison, Topeka and The Santa Fe", and so many more!
Two shows (at 3:00 and 5:30 pm), cabaret seating, concessions open throughout each performance in the Tykeson Lobby.
