Janet Whitlow is thrilled to be performing in another timeless Shedd musical. This time she's having fun playing the low voiced shopaholic Lucille, a striking contrast from the 'vocally challenged' Lina Lamont she portrayed in the Shedd's winter production of Singin' In The Rain. Other favorite roles include Gypsy Rose Lee in Gypsy, Titania Queen of the Fairies in A Midpuppet Night’s Dream, Josephine Vanderwater in Lady Be Good, Sister Sophia in The Sound of Music, and Rita in White Christmas. She is looking forward to her next role as Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn in the Shedd's production of The Music Man this summer on the Hult stage. This past year Janet has been moonlighting as a set designer for Cottage Theater's spring production of The Secret Garden and VLT's stage left production of Radio TBS: Trailer Park Broadcasting Scandals. Janet holds a BA in Art and a teaching certificate from Carlow University.
