Lynnea Barry and company trace the hugely influential Carter Family and its legacy from the the group's earliest recordings by A.P., Sara and Maybelle Carter at the Taylor-Christian Hat and Glove Company in Bristol, Tennesse in August, 1927 through the long professional and personal partnership of Maybelle's middle daughter June and country music legend Johnny Cash.
