MATT LEACH (Squire Dap/Ensemble) has been performing since the age of five. He got his start in vocal jazz as a South Eugene High School Dorian where he graduated in the class of '94 having been exposed to both the jazz & classical styles. During this time Matt also discovered a love of the theatrical stage, appearing in numerous productions such as A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Mr. Rogers, Butterflies Are Free, A Midsummer Nights Dream, Cabaret, and the title role in David & Lisa which was an exploration of love between two emotionally broken people. Matt performed the role of Corporal in Roger's & Hart's 1938 musical The Boys From Syracuse, & subsequent roles with The Shedd. These credits include shows such as the Bob Fosse classic Sweet Charity, George & Ira Gershwin's Lady Be Good, Singin' In The Rain, & the 1920's comedic romp, No, No, Nanette in which Matt also discovered that he could tap dance. Matt has appeared in numerous productions with Eugene Opera & its community outreach group, the Artist Mentor Program.
