Laura Sue Hiszczynskyj (Choreographer) has danced with companies in New York, New Jersey, Texas, Kansas, and Oregon. National tours include Sesame Street Live and SwingDance America. Laura’s work has been seen in such venues as the Kennedy Center (Washington, D.C.), Judson Church (NYC), The Joyce SoHo (NYC), City Center (NYC), The Royal Theatre (Victoria, B.C.), and the Hult Center (OR). Teaching credits include: Texas Christian University, University of Oregon, Columbia College, Cornell University, and venues in Buenos Aires, AR and Montevideo, UY. Laura currently teaches at The John G. Shedd Institute of the Arts and Lane Community College. Laura's choreography has been in previous Shedd shows including: Annie Get Your Gun (Asst. Choreographer), Babes In Arms (Tap Choreographer), Brigadoon (Asst. Choreographer), Wizard of Oz (Asst. Choreographer), A Connecticut Yankee (Choreographer), White Christmas (Tap Choreographer), and Singin' in the Rain (choreographer). Laura holds a BFA in ballet from Texas Christian University, an MFA in dance from UO, and is certified in DanceAbility. National Tours include Sesame Street Live and SwingDance America. Laura has performed at the Kennedy Center, the Judson Church , The Joyce SoHo, City Center, and of course, Eugene's Hult Center. Laura currently teaches dance at the John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts and Lane Community College.
