Climb on board and explore the music of the stars, moon, sun, planets and aliens! Fly though space with “When you Wish Upon a Star”, “Fly Me To The Moon”, “Purple People Eater”, and “Aliens in My Back Yard”. In addition to great songs, campers will get to craft spaceships, rockets, and monsters, explore musical instruments, and learn the Brain Dance!. Students can share the art they’ve made and the songs they’ve learned during a Friday performance!
Spaceships & Monsters is the 3rd of 4 summer camps offer by The Shedd Institute as a part of its 2015
Summer SongFest program for kids.

Each morning begins with a “warm up”, followed by learning the songs for the week’s theme. They will then get to learn about and play an instrument that has to do with the week’s theme. After a snack the campers will either get a chance to make their very own instrument or get dance instruction based on the theme. The campers end the day with a song circle to prepare them for their performance on Friday:
