It’s time to forget your manners at the table and get messy with these songs about food! Learn songs such as “On Top of Spaghetti”, “Pickin’ A Spot” “Garden Song” along with some silly food jingles! Enjoy all sorts of goofy food activities, do crafts with rice, noodles and veggies, explore musical instruments and learn about the food pyramid! Students can share the art they’ve made and the songs they’ve learned during a Friday performance!
Play With Your Food is the 1st of 4 summer camps offer by The Shedd Institute as a part of its 2015
Summer SongFest program for kids.

Each morning begins with a “warm up”, followed by learning the songs for the week’s theme. They will then get to learn about and play an instrument that has to do with the week’s theme. After a snack the campers will either get a chance to make their very own instrument or get dance instruction based on the theme. The campers end the day with a song circle to prepare them for their performance on Friday:
