Beth Sheehan

With a B.S. and M.S. in Health Education and Community Organizing, I worked as a Project Manager for a 6 year multi-community, multi-million dollar grant at Oregon Research Institute. Upon completion of the grant in 1994, I accepted a position with Burroughs-Wellcome Pharma as a health educator and speaker. I went on to work for Pfizer and Amgen Biotech for a decade. When we began to break ground for Slocum Orthopedics, I left medical sales (over 50% overnight travel) and started my own specialty advertising and branding company called Sweetbriar Green House. My work with local organizations grew into service on multiple boards addressing humanitarian issues of poverty and homelessness. During this time, I have served as Delta Rotary Club’s President (twice) and Assistant Governor for D5110 and Membership Chair for 68 Clubs focusing on successfully working with volunteers. I currently serve on several boards including The Shedd, which is the only Arts Board I will serve on
Why The Shedd?
My husband and I love live music and a variety of genres. The Shedd offers such a vast breadth of offerings that it is truly a remarkable asset to our community. I attended First Baptist Church while I was in college at UO and have always loved the beautiful facility that is now The Shedd. I look forward to the evolution of the facility into a performing arts venue and event center that is unique, fresh and different. I love the “full meal deal” of Shedd concerts with the offering of pre-performance dinners in a homestyle fashion. The Shedd is a lively nexus for Eugene musicians, music lovers and music learners with shows, events, lessons and music education. It is truly remarkable
